Dave Porteous (2020)

Dave played Oldtimers baseball and hockey for many years.
He's been the hard working player/manager of McCleary Electric since the team was founded over 10 years ago, earning numerous team MVO awards as well as League MVP.

While on McCleary, he also had the opportunity to play alongside both of his sons - Jamie and Michael.

In addition to his two sons, he leaves behind his 'favourite wife' Sandy, McCleary's #1 fan and scorekeeper, with whom Dave was married for 49 years.

Dave was a gentleman, never complained, had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He will be remembered by the many players who knew him in baseball and hockey as a great player, teammate and friend.
