Greetings Fellow BOSL Members,

With the recent announcement of the 3 step Provincial re-opening plan, I would like to share with you the update we received from the City. Each has a step 21 day duration requirement.

As of May 22 - order states no outdoor sports or recreational classes are permitted.

Highlights for the BOSL:

Estimated start June 14
• Outdoor team sports – training only, 10 people max, 3m distance
• Outdoor sports training only – 10 people max, 3m distance

Estimated for July 8
• Outdoor sports leagues open
• Training for professional or amateur athletes and/or competitions

Estimated for August
Sport facilities and Personal fitness and training
• Indoor open, with some restrictions
• Outdoor open, with some restrictions

If everything goes well it looks like we’ll be starting back up in early July.
The Board of Directors met last week and discussed refund options. We will be communicating these options, the amounts and the method for calculation as we get closer to the start date.
Also, as we get closer to starting, we will have a better sense of what “Back to Play” looks like with respect to COVID protocols. Roster spots that remain open due to withdrawals will continue to be filled with waitlist players.

Due to lack of enrollment and the timing, we have also decided to postpone the start of the 55 and older division until 2022.

As more information comes up, I will update everyone.

I hope everyone stays safe and looking forward to seeing all of you soon.
