Tom Clancy
We miss Tom Clancy!
Just one year short of his Bobby Brown Award, Tom has decided to hang em up. Tom was voted Oldtimer of the Year (Willard Pilatzke Award) in 2011 after serving as the Membership, then Tournament Director, for 4 seasons.  He was also a team captain for 7 seasons. He was a welcome member of the Board of Directors from 2009-2012. Tom was a 600+ hitter and starting pitcher and had been co-captain along with John Bowers for years, winning the Mid-Season tournament (2013 - L3M) and their teams were always contenders. Tom won the Warner Thomas Memorial Award last year (2016), This would have been Tom's 14th season with us and although he's now enjoying Florida in the off-season we hope Tom will visit us often through the Summer.

Jerry Weninger (JA)
Now in his 26th season at 70 yrs old, gentleman Jerry is making 90% of his games and batting a very respectable 550+. Jerry was voted Oldtimer of the Year (Willard Pilatzke Award) in 2004. This is Jerry's 25th straight season being a team sponsor in BOSL! Thank you Jerry. One of the most loved players in our league, well known for hosting horseshoe parties for his team and participating in the annual Jerry's golf outings. He's both competitive and tough and also sociable and gracious. Did anyone notice he was batting 1000 after the first few games this season! Shown here wearing his favourite BLUE Jerry's jersey - JA has built a reputation every season as a top team to beat. Can't say enough about this guy - we love him forever - please say hello to Jerry when playing JA this season.

Jeff Chapman
Jeff Chapman (IR)
Welcome back Jeff! Great to see him working the fields as a BOSL umpire this season. Jeff joined us in 1996 and played his 20th season for McCleary in 2015. He earned his Bob Brown Award in 2010, served as a Board member in 2002, served as a Team Captain since I can remember and won the Mid-Season in 2013 with co-captain Dan Robertson. In 2000 Jeff won the Warner Thomas Award (Captain of the year) and again in 2007. Jeff is a career .675 hitter and an above average pitcher. We know Jeff puts his heart and soul into every season with BOSL and is well liked and respected by all of us. It's great to see you out at the parks this season and we wish you all the best Jeff!!

Dave Little
Dave Little (CBBR)
Dave retired this year after his 30th year playing with BOSL. He had been a member of the League since 1987; served on the Board 1989–1999; 3 terms as President 1993 – 1995; captained teams several times; has an award in his honour; and in his own words, still an active player with diminishing skills but as always enjoying tremendously the camaraderie and fellowship of the best baseball league anywhere. 70-year-old Dave has moved on to seniors ball where we know he will be killin it!

Ron Fuller
Ron Fuller
At 82 years, Ron has everyone's respect and for good reason. His career batting avg is .570 and he plays like he's 40 and with a smile on his face. This will be his 21st season with BOSL. Ron had one hip replaced keeping him out one year but he was the first player to register for 2015 and he is already enjoying an expected comeback, hitting well as usual. He received the Bob Brown Award in 2010 and the Keith Dunlop Award for exemplary on-field sportsmanship. Great to have you back Ron!
