BOSL EVENTS – BOSL~Mary Jane Wright Charity Golf Tournament

To All BOSL Players/Families;

What can I say other than yesterday turned out to be an absolute landmark day for the BOSL.  Our players, their families, our sponsors and our supporters raised over $11,000 for the Carpenter Hospice during what was a memorable day for all those that came out to support such a great cause.

The highlight of the day for many was the active participation of the three Toronto Maple Leaf's Alumni.  Jim McKenny, Mike Krushelnyski and Lou Franceshetti (see Wayne for the proper pronunciation) were funny and sociable to the point that it felt like they were three of our own for the day.  And for those that had the experience of shaking Krushelnyski's hand, well, let's just say that Bob Grenier now has the second strongest hand shake out there!

A very, very special thanks to Wayne McSpadden whose loyalty and support of the BOSL shined through once again.  I personally witnessed Wayne put in 50 or 60 hours of hard work to pull this event off, often in the face of numerous challenges - but he did it and the league is very lucky to have him as our Social Director.  Also thanks to Wayne's team of volunteers on the Golf Committee - Steve Moore, Mark Flood, Dori Gallagher, Scot Cameron, Andrea Latendresse and of course Wayne's significant other, Grace Gosinski.  We couldn't have done it without you! Congratulations to Dan Robertson for winning the BBQ raffle.

Finally, the BOSL players/families, the sponsors, donators, etc., that stepped up for the Carpenter Hospice and for the BOSL are simply too numerous to mention here, but you know who you are and you did the league and yourselves tremendously proud yesterday, so thank you!
