Fundraiser to Help Dennis & Franca
Friday June 23 at Jersey’s Bar & Grill

Join us all Friday June 23 at Jersey’s Bar & Grill, 1450 Headon Rd.  to support Dennis & Franca.  Dennis has had a number of strokes over the last couple of years.  The last one has left him unable to walk, talk or eat and he needs around the clock care which is costly.

The Taxi Band will be playing.  Door prizes, 50/50, silent auction and more.  Tickets are $10.  I will have them with me all weekend at the tournament.  Even if people would like to support the cause but not attend I will put their names on the tickets for the door prizes.

Thanks, Moose

Come Play Ball With Some World Series Blue Jays Players
April 8, 2017

Hey everyone.  Interested in playing some softball with Roberto Alomar, Lloyd Mosby, George Bell, Kelly Gruber, Willie Upshaw, Duane Ward and many other former Blue Jays players in a fun, recreational slo-pitch tournament for charity?  Glen Baxby and I are entering a team of 15 players into the tournament and are looking for about 4 or 5 more participants, male or female, that would like to join us to fill our team roster.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, May 13th at the PowerAde Centre in Brampton and each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games.  Each team will have one or more of these celebrity players as their team manager and will also be invited to enjoy a ball game with them the evening before in the Summit Suite at the Roger’s Centre on Friday, May 12th for the Blue Jays vs. The Mariners game.  Paul Beeston and Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders will also be present to act as honorary co-chairs of the tournament.

All proceeds go to support Robbie Alomar’s Foundation 12 Charitable Organization which promotes the development of youth baseball players in Canada and also to the Victim Services Toronto Organization to provide immediate on-scene crisis intervention, trauma counselling and practical assistance to victims of crime and tragic circumstances.

The entry fee per player is $800 and we have room for 4-5 more individuals.  Each player also has the option to activate their own personal fund-raising webpage on the Foundation 12 website to help cover a portion or all of their costs.  So if you’re a good fund-raiser you could play for free!

Don’t want to play but maybe would like to sponsor our team?  Foundation 12 will screen your logo onto our team shirts and your company name will appear as a sponsor with others such as TD Bank, Toronto SUN, Canadian Tire, Scotiabank, Boston Pizza, SNET etc.  The cost for a team sponsorship is $500.

If interested, Glen and I would need to know no later than Tuesday, April 11th by reply email to and  Your entry fee will then be collected by Glen or I to confirm your spot or your sponsorship.  For further details about the tournament, please click here or click for more information about Roberto Alomar’s Foundation 12 organization and other events that they promote.

Thanks very much and we look forward to seeing you on the ball diamonds at this event.
